COLOR: DARK OAK
QUANTITY: 10 YARDS
10 oz 100% cotton canvas fabric with a waxed finish that gives it a finished weight of 13+ oz. Super durable and weather resistant, this fabric is just the thing to hold up under the toughest conditions. Made from food and pharmaceutical grade waxes that are completely non-hazardous and non-toxic, the waxes coat each yarn individually, allowing the cotton fabric a degree of breathability. As the fabric ages, it develops a well-worn patina, giving your garment or accessory an ageless comfort, in the same manner that leather develops and burnishes with time. Handling will create a degree of crazing, which is part of the natural beauty of this fabric. Such crazing marks can be removed, if desired, by using a medium hot iron over brown paper. This is an extemely durable fabric that requires minimal care. However, just as you should not wash fabric upholstery or a leather product such as shoes, gloves, or jackets, you should not dry clean or use detergent on waxed cotton. Wax fabrics have been successfully used for many years without washing. A periodic cleaning with a hose, damp cloth or soft scrub brush for heavy dirt is all that is needed. Your shower works equally as well. Sometimes a mild bar or flake soap (not detergent) or even Saddle soap will remove stubborn stains. As with most fabrics, darker colors do a better job of masking stains.

A WORD REGARDING SHIPPING COSTS
Fabric orders are custom cut by our shipping department. Therefore a small portion of shipping charges go toward paying their wages. Also, fabric orders that ship on a roll are usually too long to travel on FedEx or USPS conveyor belts. Therefore they must move through the shipping facilities BY HAND which incurs an additional (and fairly substantial) handling fee from the courier.
If you do not see the required yardage, please contact me. I am happy to fill custom orders when available. Have additional questions? Please call (706) 949-0064.
