1950S Gigi Young taffeta dress! A true head turner in need of a few repairs ... nothing that a decent seamstress/tailor couldn't do. The worst damage is to the bottom hem where there is an 11" section missing. There are also several pinholes along here where the stitches were pulled out. I suppose the easiest solution will be to shorten the dress by about 2 1/2" but of course, that will be up to its new owner. There is also 1 very tiny hole below the left hip area but a few discreet stitches will hide this among SO MUCH FABRIC ...You can see that there is a VERY FULL SKIRT. Other than the aforementioned issues, the dress is solid. The back zipper functions as it should and all seams appear to be intact and solid. The sewn-in crinoline could be replaced ... it has lost its oomph and no longer serves it purpose. You could leave it and just wear an additional crinoline or you could replace it. Finally a good dry cleaning and pressing (especially) will do wonders for this gem of yesteryear.

Fabric rolls with any dimension greater than 46" cannot ship via the USPS and therefore will ship via FedEx. For larger international packages, we may use the services of 'Shipito'. If your package is shipped via First Class Mail International, we do not have any way to track it nor is it insured for loss/damage once it leaves the USA. Select the Priority Mail International shipping option if you want to be able to track it and insure it. For questions regarding any shipping matters, please contact us prior to purchase.

Custom orders for finished products such as table linens cannot be cancelled once we start on your order, which may happen within only a few hours of receiving your order. All other Returns accepted within 7 days of receipt. No refunds for shipping unless item is not as described. You are encouraged to request a fabric sample should you have any concerns regarding fabric color, weight, texture, etc.: Remember ... computer monitors can vary in their depiction of fabric color. 20% re-stocking fee applies on all returned items.
A WORD REGARDING SHIPPING COSTS
Fabric orders are custom cut by our shipping department. Therefore a small portion of shipping charges go toward paying their wages. Also, fabric orders that ship on a roll are usually too long to travel on FedEx or USPS conveyor belts. Therefore they must move through the shipping facilities BY HAND which incurs an additional (and fairly substantial) handling fee from the courier.
